Researchers from the “Initiative Geisteswissenschaften” of the UZH will welcome visitors at the “Café de l’Esprit” to discuss topics that move the world: Are phenomena as ‘naturally’ given as they seem? What is ‘made’ by human cultures? How do the arts respond to this? What techniques do we use to deal with existential questions? How do we speak about them? Various humanities look at such questions from different perspectives and allow us to understand how the world is interpreted in different ways. At five themed tables (Mind – Body – Money – Love – Virus), researchers from different fields will present short examples from their latest work and answer questions.
